Following last week’s grand opening, “Destination ARTS!” activities continue in downtown Waynesboro this weekend. Six galleries will be open on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, but they will all be closed on Friday, July 4 in commemoration of the Independence Day holiday.
On Thursday, fine artist Marjorie Tressler returns to Gallery 50 to lead the latest in a series of live painting demonstrations from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
All week, new artwork is featured in Gallery 50. A few of the artists from the area who have their works on display and for sale are Steven Wright, Jennie Avila and Linda Barnhart of Hagerstown, Md, as well as Greencastle’s Eliane Ambrose.
Katrina Hoopes of Waynesboro has created several paintings of dogs that she fell in love with while walking them at the Antietam Humane Society. Half of the proceeds she earns from the sale of this animal-themed art will be donated to AHS. Your purchase could contribute to this very good cause.
Our newest gallery is devoted to the work of eighteen photographers. It is in a recently renovated storefront at 74 West Main Street. If you have not stopped in, please do, for a wonderful experience.
We have a great group of people at the studio! Creative minds tend to feed off one another and that is what we are about. The craft of clay is one that has many possibilities. Are you looking to try something new? Take a look at our up coming classes, we know you would enjoy yourself! Not seeing something that fits your schedule, contact us and we will see what we can offer. There are kid classes, adult classes, and private lessons that we provide. Always looking forward to getting our hands muddy with you! Get more information!
42 West Co-Op is featuring the two new exhibits, one is a collection of Abstracts while the other is a grouping of miniatures. Each exhibit is a collection of works from numerous artists.
