PSULogoFriday, September 12 Is “Penn State Day” !

There will be plenty of blue and white in downtown Waynesboro from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12 as “Penn State Day” is celebrated along Main Street. Penn State Mont Alto Lion Ambassadors will be located in all six art galleries, promoting the university and handing out information and other items from campus. Each of the galleries will feature “Penn State Lives Here” signs and opportunities to answer trivia questions about PSU.PSUMALion

Other highlights of “Penn State Day” will include a children’s story-reading with visual aids, temporary “paw print” tattoos and a special appearance from the Penn State Mont Alto Nittany Lion.

Students and faculty members are scheduled to provide the evening’s entertainment.

5:00 – 5:30 p.m. – The Penn State Mont Alto Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Morgan Jenkins, performs from 5:00 to 5:30 on Center Square.

JohnBardi5:30 p.m. – Philosophy professor John Bardi’s “hippy jazz” music, which Bardi describes as “improvised, free-flowing, creative melodies consisting of classics from the 1960s and 1970s.”
