Waynesboro, PA: Destination ARTS! activities continue in Waynesboro, PA with art exhibits and special events scheduled at Gallery 50, 42 West ARTS Co-Op, Through the Lens & Beyond, and the Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro. The galleries feature oil paintings, watercolors, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, photographs, furniture, and more. This weekend, they will be open on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. (Gallery 50 and 42 West ARTS Co-Op only), Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Join Donna Bingaman at her weekly painting class every Wednesday while Patric Schlee provides ambient music designed to inspire! Each student benefits from her personal instruction and 40 years of experience. Each class is $15. Gallery visitors can watch Denny Bingaman as he he creates wildlife sculptures in clay. While there, be sure to look for the quilted and hand-crafted creations by guest artist Becky Dietrich. Wine and light refreshments will be served. Singer-songwriter Destination ARTS! is presenting a Cabaret-Musical Theater Showcase that will feature a wide variety of songs from Broadway musicals as well as standards and lesser known gems. Featured singers will include Elisabeth Turchi, Deb Hollen, Gillian Austin, Kay Yaukey, Donovan Yaukey, Patrick McNamee, Rennes Carbaugh, and Aaron Trusky, accompanied by pianist Valerie Merriman. In addition, Andrew Sussman will accompany Lisa Turchi on two songs from his original musicals. Wine and light refreshments will be served. A graduate of the Washington School of Arts, Bingaman is a juried member of the Oil Painters of America and has won several awards for her work. In 2002, she was featured in a solo show at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD. Her portraits are currently displayed in the Chambersburg Court House and Annex as well as in private collections.
1 to 3 p.m. 42 West ARTS Co-Op – 42 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. Denny Bingaman will be having an open discussion session about his photo techniques on capturing the perfect wildlife shot. A photo blind will be set up along with his tripods, lenses, and other photo equipment.
Denny Bingaman is a native of Waynesboro, PA who uses wildlife imagery as a source of inspiration for much of his art, including photography, gourd carving, and sculpting. He is a member of the Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. His photography is on permanent display at the Wildwood Wildlife Sanctuary and Meritus Medical Center.

Marjorie Tressler invites artists of all ability levels to attend her weekly painting class in Gallery 50 that will cover both oil and acrylic mediums.
