Oct. 3, 2017- Intro to Wheel Throwing – 6:30-9:30 p.m. Ceramic Arts Center. Students will learn the principles of throwing on the wheel and the life cycle of ceramics during this five-week class. The class will focus on the steps to create basic forms that are used to build the foundation to create a variety of pots. Finally, students will learn how to finish and glaze their pieces.  Visit their website for more information.

Oct. 4, 2017- Painting Class w/ Donna Bingaman – 12 to 3 p.m. 42 West ARTS Co-Op. Join Donna Bingaman at her weekly painting class every Wednesday  Each class is $15. Gallery visitors can watch Denny Bingaman’s weekly demo. For more info, call 717-762-8394.

Oct. 4, 2017- Writers Forum  – 5 to 7 p.m. Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library – Writers of all genres are welcome to join the monthly Writers Forum meeting on the second-floor classroom of the library. Oct. 4, 2017- Halloween Ring Holder – 6 to 8 p.m. Ceramic Arts Center – $25. Students at least 13 years of age are invited to create a festive witch or pumpkin ring holder led by Heidi Kenney. Each piece is made from durable stoneware clay and decorated with colorful underglazes. Visit their website for more info.

Oct. 6, 2017- Musical Demo – 5:30 to 8 p.m. 42 West ARTS Co-Op –  Patric Schlee will entertain visitors with a variety of musical instruments, including the didgeridoo, flute, and drums.Wine and light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact the co-op at 717-762-8394.

Oct. 6, 2017- Live Music Friday – 5:30 to 8 p.m. Music Makers. Tresa Day will be performing her eclectic mix of classic rock, blues, soul, and folk for our Live Music Friday performance. Wine and light refreshments will be served.

Oct. 6, 2017- Intro to Bullet Journaling – 6 to 9 p.m. Walnut Street Studios. $25. . Let your creativity work for you by learning the customizable organizational system known as bullet journaling led by Lindsey Sutton. Oct. 7, 2017- Wet Felt Demo – 12 to 2 p.m. 42 West Arts Co-Op. Pamela Soaring Raven will combine different pieces of wool and fiber to create a non-woven piece of felt. For more information, contact the co-op at 717-762-8394.

Oct. 7, 2017- Bargello Needle Weaving – 1 to 3 p.m. 42 West Arts Co-Op. Becky Dietrich will show how to create Bargello which is an ancient Florentine needle weaving technique. For more information, contact the co-op at 717-762-8394.

Oct. 8, 2017 – Thanksgiving Harvest Mini Pitcher – 2 to 4 p.m. Ceramic Arts Center. $25. The Ceramic Arts Center is pleased to offer a workshop designed for the whole family! Oct. 16, 2017- Artist’s Connection – 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Rodney Clark Photography and Gallery 35 East. Join the Artists’ Connection for their next monthly meeting. The group is open to all artists and those passionate about the arts and includes a fifteen-minute demo. The meeting serves as an opportunity to share ideas, discuss art and the newest techniques you have learned, mentor younger artists, and generally inspire one another. Oct. 18, 2017 – Open Mic Nite: 7 to 9 p.m. Music Makers – 46 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. The Arts Alliance is pleased to once again present Open Mic Nite at Music Makers. Local artists are invited to participate in a session facilitated by Brad Munn. All musical styles and spectators are welcome. A sound system, microphone, and electric stage piano will be provided. Oct. 19, 2017- Art of Felting – 1 to 4 p.m. 42 West Arts Co-Op. $25. Pamela Soaring Raven will teach the ancient craft of felting by teaching students to create several small projects. Felt is a non-woven warm, windproof fabric most commonly made from wool. All materials are provided. Attendee is asked to bring a large towel.

Oct. 29, 2017- Swedish Clog Ceramic Class  – 2 to 4 p.m. Ceramic Arts Center. $25. Create a pair of clogs inspired by the Saint Nick tradition.  Each participant will make 2 clogs at approximately 4″ long, and 2 mini clogs perfectly sized for a fridge magnet or tree ornament, with the option to add a second pair. Each clog is handmade from durable stoneware clay and is painted with the student’s choice of colorful underglazes during the class. The workshop’s price includes all materials, glaze and firings. This class is suggested for teens and adults aged 13 and up. Visit their website to register.
