April’s “2nd Saturday” – A Double Feature
“2nd Saturdays” series at Gallery 50 welcomes artists Lyn Marsh and Jeanne Hartman on April 12.
The public is invited to meet featured artists Lyn Marsh and Jeanne Hartman on Saturday, April 12 in Gallery 50 at 50 West Main Street, Waynesboro, from 2 to 4 pm, as part of the ongoing introduction of new artists on the Second Saturday of each month. Chat with artists, enjoy refreshments, and view the latest additions to the Gallery’s display of artwork, all of which is for sale.
Lyn Marsh is from central Pennsylvania where she is recognized as a leader in the art community. Her award-winning works speak beautifully to her philosophy that “Art is my way of embracing the world around me.” Her diverse works demonstrate her love of color, expression of light and shadow, and her attention to design and composition. A student of both private and group workshops, she settled near Harrisburg after receiving her degree from the Wyomissing Institute of Fine Art. In addition to her privileged participation in numerous solo and group shows, she serves on various art organizations and boards. Most notably Lyn is founder of the “Painter Capucines” which is the realization of her vision to establish a group of female artists who paint and display their works throughout the area.
Jeanne Hartman resides in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania and is primarily a watercolor artist. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the Art Association of Harrisburg. She teaches Free Spirit Watercolor Class at the Art Center School and Gallery in Mechanicsburg, and is a member of multiple art associations. She has served two years as President of the Pennsylvania Art Association. Her work “Victorian Dress and Bonnet” was selected to appear in the June Edition of the Eastern States calendar. Limited edition prints of her Victorian paintings are displayed prominently in the Harrisburg Hotel Hilton.
