Waynesboro, PA, April 2016: Destination ARTS! activities continue in Waynesboro, PA with art exhibits and special events scheduled at Gallery 50, 42 West ARTS Co-Op, Through the Lens & Beyond, and the Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro. The galleries feature oil paintings, watercolors, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, photographs, furniture, and more. This weekend, they will be open on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. (Gallery 50 and 42 West ARTS Co-Op only), Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Oil Painting Demonstration: 2-4 p.m. Gallery 50 – 50 West Main Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268. Curator and Director Marjorie Tressler will be conducting an oil painting demonstration featuring a large landscape.
Tressler teaches art locally and has conducted classes at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, where her portraits were featured in a solo show in 1993. She is a former student of the Schuler School of Fine Arts and has studied with several nationally known and prominent local artists over the last 35 years.

will be performing his blend of bluegrass, rock, and blues music. Wine and light refreshments will be available.
Jon Ingels is a singer/songwriter from Waynesboro, PA and has written songs and performed with several local groups, including the Boro Boogie Pickers. Ingles’ lyrical content is a mixture of storytelling and geographic imagery backed by folk chord patterns, simple melodies, and blues-driven rhythm.
April 15, 2016 – “All About Color” Gallery Reception and Meet the Artist: 5:30-8 p.m. Gallery 50 – 50 West Main Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268. Gallery 50 will be holding a reception to introduce their newest window gallery installation, “All About Color” featuring Marti Yeager of Fayettsville, PA. Other artists included in the installation are Donna Mason, Chris Lowery, and Hans Guerin of Baltimore, MD. Yeager will be on hand to speak about her art.

Marti Yeager is a professional artist and teacher specializing in oils, acrylics, pastels, and water colors. Most recently, Yeager was featured as a solo artist in the Art Association of Harrisburg’s Invitational Show. Yeager has been a Gallery 50 artist and workshop teacher for the past 3 years and is a member of the Penn Woods Print Makers.

A graduate of the Washington School of Arts, Bingaman is a juried member of the Oil Painters of America and has won several awards for her work. Her portraits are currently featured in the Chambersburg Court House and Annex as well as in private collections.
