Waynesboro, PA – Destination ARTS! will be hosting a summer filled with fun activities, events, and music for the family starting on May 27, 2016.
“Last year, we had the idea to move activities out on the square to attract more attention to Destination ARTS! and the galleries,” said Amy Stine, Executive Director of the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro. “Our goal is to continue to expose people to the fantastic artisans, musicians, and local businesses that Waynesboro has to offer right on the square where they can’t miss it.”
Beginning on Friday, May 27, 2016, visitors and locals can expect to see musical guest(s) perform beside BB&T bank and Frank’s Pizza every Friday from 5:30-8 p.m. as weather permits. Island Fusion will be the first group to kick off the summer performance schedule with music that combines the style of Jimmy Buffet with traditional island tunes. Various happenings, such as magic acts, face painting, artists’ demonstrations, and performances will continue to occur throughout each weekend. Outdoor activities will end on September 4, 2016.
Due to the increased success of Wine Down Fridays, Gallery 50 will continue to host a musical guest on Friday evenings inside the gallery. All Destination ARTS! galleries will still provide demonstrations and classes at their individual locations throughout the year.
