Waynesboro, PA: Destination ARTS! activities continue in Waynesboro, PA with art exhibits and special events scheduled at Gallery 50, 42 West ARTS Co-Op, Gallery 35 East, and the Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro. The galleries feature oil paintings, watercolors, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, photographs, furniture, and more. This weekend, they will be open on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. (Gallery 50 and 42 West ARTS Co-Op only), Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Wednesday, December 13, 2017 – Wildlife Slide Show and Oil Painting Class:
12 to 3 p.m. 42 West ARTS Co-Op – 42 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. Join Donna Bingaman at her weekly painting class every Wednesday while Patric Schlee provides ambient music designed to inspire! Each student benefits from her personal instruction and 40 years of experience. Each class is $15. 7 to 9 p.m. Music Makers – 46 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. The Arts Alliance is pleased to once again present Open Mic Nite at Music Makers. Friday, December 15, 2017 – Musical Demonstration:
5:30 to 8 p.m. 42 West ARTS Co-Op – 42 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. Patric Schlee will entertain visitors with a variety of musical instruments, including the didgeridoo, flute, and drums. While there, enjoy pieces of art from the members’ Fire & Ice Show as well as pieces from December and January’s featured artist Terry Lynn Benson. Wine and light refreshments will be served. Friday, December 15, 2017 – Live Music Friday:
5:30 to 8 p.m. Music Makers – 46 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. The popular Irish music of Across the Pond is coming back to Music Makers! The band features Michael Morrison (guitar, mandolin, flue and vocals), Chuck Krepley (fiddle, banjo, vocals), and Dan Diviney (whistles, bodhran, vocals). Wine and light refreshments will be served. Meet professional photographer, Mark Youngblood, during a special reception celebrating his new black and white photography exhibit. Youngblood is a photography teacher at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts in Hagerstown as an Artist in Residence since the opening of the school in 2009. Mark attended Hagerstown Community College and then Shepherd University. He holds memberships in several professional photography organizations, including being named commercial and portrait photographer of the year in the state of Maryland. Youngblood has owned and operated Youngblood Studios for the past 30 years.

Monday, December 18, 2017 – Oil & Acrylic Painting Class:
1 to 4 p.m. Gallery 50 – 50 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. Marjorie Tressler invites artists of all ability levels to attend her weekly painting class in Gallery 50 that will cover both oil and acrylic mediums. Marjorie is a classically trained artist who teaches drawing, color theory and composition in the style of the old masters. These fun and relaxed sessions are $65 for 6 classes.
