Blue Manouche – Live Music Friday
February 27 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
FREEBlue Manouche is a NEW acoustic trio that plays music performed and inspired by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli and their Hot Swing ensembles, as well as an eclectic variety of other acoustic tunes. Their members are: Scott Matlock (Violin & vocals), Shine Delphi (Guitar & vocals) and Chance Hurley (Guitar & vocals).
Local and regional music fans will be familiar with Scott from his work with his wife in the Flying Matlocks duo and The Jill Fulton Band. Scott and Chance also played together for years as part of the bluegrass bands Dead Horse Revival and Mountain Ride, including appearances at major festivals such as DelFest, Grey Fox, Charm City Bluegrass and many other festivals and venues throughout the eastern US, from the Florida Keys to NY City and Vermont. Chance has also played with many other Country, Americana, Rock, and Roots music bands, including A.D Chandler and Bobby D. and The Truckstop Burritos.
Shine Delphi is a longtime local and regional favorite as an amazing solo performer on resonator and acoustic guitar and is highly in demand as a instrumentalist, singer and recording artist.
Together, they are excited to share their common love of the Manouche music and tunes they have long enjoyed.
Free Admission for great music in a “listening room” setting. We are BYOB.
Inclement Weather Policy
The Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro (AAGW) recognizes the fact that inclement weather can affect the organizations’s ability to be open for business, hold events, and the employees’ and volunteers’ abilities to get to and attend events. The safety of the AAGW’s employees and volunteers is paramount to the organization. If any of the following events occur, Gallery 50, Music Makers, and all events associated with the AAGW are considered cancelled for that day:
(1) The governor declares a weather emergency and asks people to stay off the roads
(2) Waynesboro Area School District cancels school or after-school activities due to inclement weather
(3) Penn State Mont Alto cancels evening classes.
The AAGW will make every attempt to update social media to reflect the cancellation by 3pm for any evening events and by 8:30am for any morning events, but any notification stating one of the (3) events listed above has occurred should be considered notification of the cancellation.
