Destination ARTS! is proud to announce a TRIPLE GRAND OPENING as the next phase in the successful venture of transforming Main Street, Waynesboro, into an arts destination. “Gallery 50,” “42 West Arts Co-op,” and the Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro.
The public is invited downtown to a free celebration of quality art, live music and refreshments on Friday, November 8, from 5 – 8 pm. Musicians will include Mitch Morrill (vocals and guitar), Ritma Cordia Marlin Barnes, marimba and Jane Peatling, cell), and the eclectic improvisational group Earthsong Ensemble.
This special evening marks the Grand Opening of “Gallery 50” at 50 West Main Street. A continuation of the volunteer effort to revitalize downtown Waynesboro which started in July, this new gallery will feature over 300 pieces of fine art and crafts from more than 50 artists and artisans. “We will be presenting paintings, jewelry, fine arts photography, ceramics, etchings, fiber arts, photo note cards, books by local authors, and surprises,” notes lead curator Marjorie Tressler. “Every item will be of exceptional quality and they will all be priced to sell!”
The Grand Opening of the new “42 West Arts Co-op” located at 42 West Main Street. It will feature a diverse collection of unique art from its 17 members, including paintings, art photographs, fiber arts, wind chimes, musical instruments, fine craft furniture, blown glass, wood carvings, and more.
