Gallery 50
This week, Bryan Noll’s Lightbath will be providing music for “Wine Down Friday” at Gallery 50. Originally from Waynesboro, Noll is now a composer, producer and performer based out of Brooklyn. His blend of cosmic and meditative rhythms should serve as the perfect backdrop for an evening of wine, light refreshments and an assortment of impressive artwork. Noll is set to begin the entertainment at 5:00 p.m.

About the New Show…
The new show, titled “Travel ~ Through the Artist’s Eye,” is highlighted by the work of South African painter, Eric Holsmann. Known throughout the world for his illustrations of cityscapes in Pretoria, Holsmann has been honored by that city’s art museum with a retrospective exhibition spanning 25 years. Impressed by the photos his Pennsylvania-born wife took of Waynesboro, he was inspired to capture the charm of our Main Street’s buildings on canvas. These original oil paintings are at Gallery 50 for viewing and sale beginning February 28.
Steven Nevada Is March’s Second “Featured Artist” at Gallery 50
The colorful, impressionistic paintings of Steven Nevada were featured in last week’s “Meet the Artist” special event at Gallery 50. Nevada, who hails from Berkeley, CA, now has a home and studio in New Oxford. His original paintings are displayed in many galleries throughout the United States, including Gallery 50. Nevada is best known for his dreamy, romantic landscapes, magnificent florals and garden scenes that are reminiscent of the works done by French Impressionists. According to Nevada, “…all life is art.” We looks forward to showing and discussing his work with Gallery 50 visitors.
Along with Holsmann’s and Nevada’s works in Gallery 50, are more than 200 paintings, prints and photographs, as well as more than 600 unique gift items, including autographed children’s books, signed books of non-fiction and historical fiction, sculptures, pottery and hand-crafted jewelry. All items offer the opportunity to shop locally for one-of-a-kind, professionally crafted gifts!

Still Life Oil Painting Workshop
with Artist Donna Bingaman as the instructor.
Create your own still life oil painting from arranged still life setups, “Grapes and Red Wine,” “Porcelain Dolls,” “Silver Pot and Apples.”
This workshop will use still life as a means to study light, an artist’s greatest gift. Students will paint from “warm” studio light on canvases, with emphasis on composition, drawing and value. The purpose is to understand the difference between the two different temperatures of light and the effect it has on color relationships. Students of all levels will find these studies valuable no matter what subject matter they may ultimately wish to pursue.
