Waynesboro, PA: Destination ARTS! activities continue in Waynesboro, PA with art exhibits and special events scheduled at Gallery 50, 42 West ARTS Co-Op, Gallery 35 East, and the Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro. The galleries feature oil paintings, watercolors, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, photographs, furniture, and more. This weekend, they will be open on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. (Gallery 50 and 42 West ARTS Co-Op only), Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Monday, November 27, 2017 – Oil & Acrylic Painting Class:

Marjorie Tressler invites artists of all ability levels to attend her weekly painting class in Gallery 50 that will cover both oil and acrylic mediums. Marjorie is a classically trained artist who teaches drawing, color theory and composition in the style of the old masters. These fun and relaxed sessions are $65 for 6 classes. Times Vary – Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies – Room 008, General Studies Building, 1 Campus Dr., Mont Alto, PA 17237. NCCS will hold their 14th annual holiday pottery sale on November 30 from 1 to 8 p.m., December 1, 2, and 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale includes a variety of items hand-made by guild members such as bowls, mugs, cups, vases, and more. In addition to the pottery sale, the 2017 John Bell reproduction pot stand will be available for purchase.
Friday, December 1, 2017 – Open House and Anniversary Sale:
5 to 8 p.m. Gallery 35 East – 35 E. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. Celebrate with the artists of Gallery 35 East as they observe their second anniversary with a special gallery-wide sale and reception. Saturday, December 2, 2017 – Winter Air CD Release Party:
2 to 3:30 p.m. Music Makers – 46 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. Popular local band Mountain Air invites the public to a special reception to celebrate their new Christmas album, “Winter.” Featuring Bobbi Smith (guitar and vocals), Bob Murphy (upright bass), and Lisa Donohoe (mandolin and vocals), the group will be performing Christmas favorites, including a special version of the classic “White Christmas” by Irving Berlin with alternative lyrics by Louanna Dennis Sturm. Sturm received written permission from Berlin in 1942 for her choir to perform the edited version. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Music Makers – 46 West Main Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268. Join members of the Songwriters’ Workshop for their monthly meeting as they share their latest efforts writing a song based on the prompt of ‘Burn.’ For more information, contact Jonathan Ingels at [email protected].
Participants are encouraged to write a song, lyric, or instrumental piece that is inspired by that month’s theme. All genres are welcome and participants share their results, process, feedback with one another. Once a quarter, the group performs their songs for the public.

Gallery 50’s (50 West Main Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268) Artwork by local and regional artists is on display and for sale. The walls are filled with fine art paintings in beautiful frames. The tables are covered with outstanding examples of pottery, wood work, jewelry, sculpture, cards and even hand made soaps. Truly an experience for the senses – especially with the addition of music performances during “Wine Down Friday.”
