Wednesday, December 27, 2017 – Oil Painting Class & Sculpture Demonstration:
12 to 3 p.m. 42 West ARTS Co-Op – 42 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. Join Donna Bingaman at her weekly painting class every Wednesday while Patric Schlee provides ambient music designed to inspire! Each student benefits from her personal instruction and 40 years of experience. Each class is $15. From 12:30 to 2:30, Denny Bingaman will be sculpting wildlife figures in clay for visitors to the gallery. For more info, call 717-762-8394.
Wednesday, December 27, 2017 – Open Mic Nite:
7 to 9 p.m. Music Makers – 46 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. The Arts Alliance is pleased to once again present Open Mic Nite at Music Makers. Local artists are invited to participate in a session facilitated by Brad Munn. All musical styles and spectators are welcome. A sound system, microphone, and electric stage piano will be provided. Thursday, December 28, 2017 – 12 to 2 p.m. Children’s Hot Chocolate Mug Workshop
Ceramic Arts Center, 13 South Church St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. For kids age 8 and up. Great holiday break activity! Lesley Quesada will guide students in making a ceramic mug, using paint and decorative techniques to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. All materials, glaze and firings are included. Fee: $25. While there, check our Winter White display with Samantha the Snow Queen and artwork featuring winter scenes.
Friday, December 29, 2017 – Musical Demonstration:
5:30 to 8 p.m. 42 West ARTS Co-Op – 42 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. Patric Schlee will entertain visitors with a variety of musical instruments, including the didgeridoo, flute, and drums. While there, enjoy pieces of art from the members’ Fire & Ice Show as well as pieces from December and January’s featured artist Terry Lynn Benson. Wine and light refreshments will be served. Gallery 50’s (50 West Main Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268) Artwork by local and regional artists is on display and for sale. The walls are filled with fine art paintings in beautiful frames. The tables are covered with outstanding examples of pottery, wood work, jewelry, sculpture, cards and even hand made soaps. Truly an experience for the senses – especially with the addition of music performances during “Wine Down Friday.”
