Childrens Clay Class – Mini Hobbit House
September 15, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us at the Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro, 13 South Church Street September 15th, 1-3pm. During this 2-hour session, Heather Forberger will guide students step by step in how to make a one of a kind mini hobbit house, using a combination of slab and sculpture. Students, will have the opportunity to use various decorative applications to make their masterpiece. Each workshop includes all materials, glaze and firings.
Recommended for ages 5-13. Children under 8 must have an adult stay in attendance. Class duration is 1-2 hours depending on the complexity of the project and skill level of the student.
The cost for an individual child is $25. Or, upgrade to an Adult & Child Combo Workshop for $45! This class is for children individually, or the option to bring along an adult family member to create 2 pieces together.

Inclement Weather Policy
The Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro (AAGW) recognizes the fact that inclement weather can affect the organizations’s ability to be open for business, hold events, and the employees’ and volunteers’ abilities to get to and attend events. The safety of the AAGW’s employees and volunteers is paramount to the organization. If any of the following events occur, Gallery 50, Music Makers, and all events associated with the AAGW are considered cancelled for that day:
(1) The governor declares a weather emergency and asks people to stay off the roads
(2) Waynesboro Area School District cancels school or after-school activities due to inclement weather
(3) Penn State Mont Alto cancels evening classes.
The AAGW will make every attempt to update social media to reflect the cancellation by 3pm for any evening events and by 8:30am for any morning events, but any notification stating one of the (3) events listed above has occurred should be considered notification of the cancellation.
