Jamie Turner & His Rhythm Revue – Live Music Friday

January 9 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

FREE

LIVE MUSIC – FREE ADMISSION

Jamie Turner & His Rhythm Revue will be performing live at Music Makers on Friday, January 9. Jamie Alan Turner is a local musician with a true devotion for the guitar. Blues guitar has been a passion of Jamie’s for as long as he’s been playing and those blues overtones truly shine in his mix of acoustic folk, roots, and blues. Jamie’s solo music is inspired by many of the great songwriters and his sets are folk driven but with lots of rootsy flair. Join us at Music Makers where Jamie, along with musical companion and conga player Jason Darr will take you on a musical journey from the Mississippi Delta to Muscle Shoals all the way to the folk days of Greenwich Village and back. His ability to fill the room with sound will not only inspire you but persuade you to want more. Free Admission for great music in a “listening room” setting. We are BYOB.

Please enter through Gallery 50 (50 West Main Street) and check out the amazing art! Gallery 50, Music Makers, and Destination ARTS! are all initiatives of the non-profit Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro. Free live music has been presented in Waynesboro every weekend since July 2013 (except when closed during the pandemic). Donations are gratefully accepted to help keep this and other events going.

Inclement Weather Policy

The Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro (AAGW) recognizes the fact that inclement weather can affect the organizations’s ability to be open for business, hold events, and the employees’ and volunteers’ abilities to get to and attend events. The safety of the AAGW’s employees and volunteers is paramount to the organization. If any of the following events occur, Gallery 50, Music Makers, and all events associated with the AAGW are considered cancelled for that day:

(1) The governor declares a weather emergency and asks people to stay off the roads

(2) Waynesboro Area School District cancels school or after-school activities due to inclement weather

(3) Penn State Mont Alto cancels evening classes.

The AAGW will make every attempt to update social media to reflect the cancellation by 3pm for any evening events and by 8:30am for any morning events, but any notification stating one of the (3) events listed above has occurred should be considered notification of the cancellation.
