New Art Show Opening Reception: Faces and Places

November 5, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

FREE

With great excitement, Gallery 50 welcomes you to its new exhibit, “Faces and Places.” The reception will showcase beautiful paintings from five area artists: Pam Wenger, Cindy Baker, Donna Barlup, Claire Carnell, and Warren Tracy Davis.

The reception includes free refreshments, the opportunity to meet some of the featured artists, and live music from Drew Adams in the adjacent Music Makers space.
The exhibit spotlights oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. Subjects range from portraits to landscapes to still life. You’ll also be able to browse new pottery, jewelry, and other great artwork.
The CDC now advises that everyone should wear a mask when visiting a public space indoors and outdoors when not able to socially distance. Thank you for helping our community safe!
Following the reception, the exhibit will be on display during Gallery 50’s regular hours on Fridays from 5–8 p.m., Saturdays from 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m., and by appointment.
In addition, the full exhibit will soon be available to browse and purchase on the gallery’s online shop at www.gallery50-aagw.square.site
A big thank you to Gallery 50 curator Marti Yeager for all the work she does organizing and putting every show together! Along with a thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers.
Gallery 50 is owned and operated by the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro. Donations are gratefully accepted to help keep this and other events going.

Inclement Weather Policy

The Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro (AAGW) recognizes the fact that inclement weather can affect the organizations’s ability to be open for business, hold events, and the employees’ and volunteers’ abilities to get to and attend events. The safety of the AAGW’s employees and volunteers is paramount to the organization. If any of the following events occur, Gallery 50, Music Makers, and all events associated with the AAGW are considered cancelled for that day:

(1) The governor declares a weather emergency and asks people to stay off the roads

(2) Waynesboro Area School District cancels school or after-school activities due to inclement weather

(3) Penn State Mont Alto cancels evening classes.

The AAGW will make every attempt to update social media to reflect the cancellation by 3pm for any evening events and by 8:30am for any morning events, but any notification stating one of the (3) events listed above has occurred should be considered notification of the cancellation.
