Over 800 pieces of fine art & crafts from 80+ artists
& artisans. Paintings, jewelry, fine art photography, ceramics, fiber arts, cards, books by local authors…& more.
Gallery 50 was the first gallery to open in 2013, and it continues to be curated by Destination ARTS! lead curator, Marjorie Tressler and operated by the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro. It features exceptional paintings, photography, etchings, jewelry, and more, from some of the most highly respected artists from around the country.
Gallery 50’s newest window installation is “All About Color,” featuring Chambersburg contemporary artist Marti Yeager. Artwork by local artists Donna Mason, Carol Miller, and Liz Hurley is also on display. Continuing by popular demand, “Fin, Feathers, and Fur” featuring artists Carol Wilks and Beth De’ Loiselle will continue to be featured in the main gallery with new work being added.
Every Thursday, Gallery 50’s Curator/Director Marjorie Tressler presents a weekly oil painting demonstration from 2 to 4 p.m. in Gallery 50. Tressler teaches art locally and has conducted classes at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, where her portraits were featured in a solo show in 1993. She is a former student of the Schuler School of Fine Arts and has studied with several nationally known and prominent local artists over the last 35 years.
