Destination ARTS! activities continue in Waynesboro, PA, with live music every weekend and events and artist demonstrations scheduled at Gallery 50 and 42 West ARTS Co-op. The Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro and the Contemporary School of the Arts & Gallery will also be open with art and pottery for sale and art classes available. All galleries are open Thursday – Sunday every week!
This weekend will feature music from Mitch Morrill for our “Wine Down Friday,” a new special “2nd Saturday Meet the Artist” event, and art demonstrations from Carrie Dietrich (drawing), Denny Bingaman (sculpting), Pat Beard (weaving), and Marjorie Tressler (painting). Light refreshments, wine, and other beverages will be available on “Wine Down Fridays” and on Saturday. Other events are being scheduled and all events are free and open to the public. All galleries will have a wide variety of high quality art for sale, including paintings, sculpture, pottery, photographs, jewelry, fiber arts, musical instruments, furniture, and art note cards. 2 – 4 pm – “2nd Saturday Meet the Artist” –Carrie Dietrich – Gallery 50
Gallery 50 will host a Meet the Artist event on the second Saturday of every month! In addition to meeting the artist, light refreshments will be served and all are invited.
Carrie Dietrich – Currently you can find her work internationally in places such as Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Norway ,Denmark, Canada and throughout the United States. The patterns she uses in her work come from textures, buildings, clothes, microscopic slides, etc. Her work has been featured in “Living Design” online magazine, August 2013 issue “Top Ten Etsy Finds”, and most recently in “Keiki”, a Danish boutique style magazine.” Please come and join us for the afternoon and see Carrie’s unique way of creating her beautiful pin and ink drawings, and hear her explain how she finds her inspiration in and translates it into fascinating works of art.
