“Destination ARTS!” activities continue in Waynesboro, PA, with live music every weekend and events and artist demonstrations scheduled at Gallery 50 and 42 West ARTS Co-op. The Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro and the Contemporary School of the Arts & Gallery will also be open with art and pottery for sale and art classes available. All galleries are open Thursday through Sunday every week!
Fine artist Marjorie Tressler gets the weekend started early with a live painting demonstration at Gallery 50 on Thursday, February 13. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch Tressler in action between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. A wide array of potential gifts for your Valentine will be available for sale, including jewelry, fiber art, ceramics and much more.
Spend your Valentine’s Day in downtown Waynesboro with a “Wine Down Friday” as Brad Munn and his guitar bring a blend of bluegrass, country and rock music to Gallery 50 on Friday evening February 14th. In addition to a variety of impressive artwork, guests are also invited to enjoy wine and light refreshments between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00.
Because it is Valentine’s week, another of our popular “Meet the Artists” events has been scheduled and, once again, it is a local author.
Kathleen Renninger will keep the warm feelings of the holiday alive on Saturday, as she stops by Gallery 50 to sign copies of her book, Pages From a Nature Lover’s Diary, which will be on sale. The author will also discuss the book with visitors from 2:00 – 4:00 in the afternoon.
At the same time on Saturday – Donna Bingaman will be demonstrating her oil painting at 42 West ARTS Co-Op. Drop in and see how Donna uses her brush to bring life to her canvas. Then, take a look around the gallery for a glimpse of the work that she and other members of the Co-Op have completed.
Light refreshments, wine, and other beverages will be available on “Wine Down Fridays”. Other events are being scheduled and all events are free (unless otherwise noted) and open to the public. All galleries will have a wide variety of high quality art for sale, including paintings, sculpture, pottery, photographs, jewelry, fiber arts, musical instruments, furniture, and art note cards.
