42 West Artists Co-Op
1:00 – 3:00 PM – Tom Tholen will demonstrate “Painting the Portrait” in oil at 42 West Arts from 1:00 to 3:00 on Saturday afternoon. Tholen has been an active artist for more than 25 years, with combined experience in storyboard, layout and concept work. He loves to share his passion for art with others who are willing to take time to investigate and push their own level of skills. Tholen believes that “all of us are born with the ability to be artistic. Those who we see as artists pursue that skill and with determined practice become ‘artists.’”
Throughout August – The co-op will be displaying the work of “Cumberland Valley Craftsmen Guild Member of the Month,” Jennifer Berger. Berger designs, knits and felts all of her own artwork, including dolls, ornaments and other decorative items. She says her creations are whimsical interpretations of things that are real and imaginary.
