“Destination ARTS!” activities continue in Waynesboro with live music every weekend and events and artist demonstrations scheduled at Gallery 50, Gallery 20 East and 42 West ARTS Co-Op. The Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro and The Contemporary School of the Arts & Gallery will also be open with art and pottery for sale and art classes available. All galleries are open each week from Thursday through Sunday.

Contemporary School of the Arts & Gallery
On Thursday afternoon, artist Doina Moulin is scheduled to teach children how to paint between the hours of 3:30 and 5:30 at The Contemporary School of the Arts & Gallery. Participants will produce a piece of artwork, which will then be put on display. Pre-registration is available by calling 304-261-4516.

Wine Down Friday Tonight at Gallery 50!
Come See the New Show and Meet Friends!
The month of May continues with yet another special edition of “Wine Down Friday!” This Friday will feature special events in several locations. Come downtown, try the wine and snacks, meet friends, view the art and enjoy the music! Then stay for dinner at one of the five downtown restaurants, each very different from the rest.
Gallery 20 East
A reception has been planned inside of Gallery 20 East at 5:00 on Friday night to celebrate the opening of a new exhibit. “Surfaces” will feature the work of painter Ben McAfee, ceramic artist Joan Bontempo and Andrew Gehman, who specializes in several forms of creative media. Singer-guitarist Jon Ingels will provide music for the special occasion. The exhibit can be viewed each weekend through Sunday, June 22. Additional information available here!
The Quincy Duo will be making music at Gallery 50 this week during the latest edition of “Wine Down Friday.” Beginning at 5:00 PM, Dusty Rhodes (clarinet, tenor sax and vocals) and Robert Nelson (clarinet and guitar) are set to perform music from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s while guests enjoy wine, light refreshments and an assortment of impressive artwork.
Ceramic Arts center
The Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro will be launching their version of “Wine Down Fridays” on May 30. From 5:00 to 7:00, anyone who stops by the center can watch a potter throwing on a wheel. Adults and children will also have an opportunity to create and decorate a clay pendant for no charge.
42 West Artists Co-Op
Over at the Artists Co-Op, “Wine Down Fridays” continue with the music of Patric Schlee beginning at 5:00.

Artist Donna Bingaman will be at 42 West on Saturday afternoon. She has an oil painting demonstration planned from 1:00 to 3:00.
